Air Fryer Stuffed Italian Meatballs

These Air Fryer Stuffed Italian Meatballs are seasoned with a couple simple ingredients then stuffed with mozzarella cheese and air fried to perfection. Make meatball subs, spaghetti and meatballs, zoodles with meatballs or serve as is with marinara sauce. Perfectly portioned to fit your calorie and smartpoints budget. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey (93% lean)
  • 1/4 cup Italian panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp old fashion oats, uncooked
  • 2 part skim string cheese, cut into 16 equal pieces (8 pieces per string cheese)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano

Directions

  1. In a bowl add ground turkey, Italian panko breadcrumbs, oats, parsley, salt, pepper, garlic powder and oregano and combine
  2. Using a small cookie scoop, scoop meat (should be about 1 oz), make a hole in the middle, add 1 piece of cheese in the middle. Cover and roll into a ball. Repeat with remaining meat and cheese. Should get about 15 turkey meat balls.

3. Heat air fryer on 350 degrees for 2 minutes. Once heated, spray tray with Pam spray and tops of meatballs. Place 8 meatballs at a time and set timer to 10 minutes. Flip meatballs half way through cooking. Repeat with the rest of meatballs. Serve with your favorite marinara sauce, pasta, zoodles, or make meatball subs.

Delicious stuffed meatballs made in the air fryer. Super easy and tasty!

  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano

  • Step 1 In a bowl add ground turkey, breadcrumbs, oats, parsley, salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano. Mix to combine.
  • Step 2 Using a small cookie scoop, scoop meat (about 1 oz). make a hole in the middle using a finger and place in 1 piece of cheese.
  • Step 3 Cover with meat and roll into a ball. Repeat with the remainder of meat and cheese.
  • Step 4 Heat air fryer on 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 2 minutes.
  • Step 5 Spray air fryer tray with non-stick spray. Place about 8, meatballs at a time and spray tops with non-stick spray.
  • Step 6 Cook for 10 minutes flipping meatballs halfway through.
  • Step 7 Repeat with the remainder of the meatballs.
  • Step 8 Enjoy!
