Air Fryer Plum Crumble

Air Fryer Plum Crumble

This Plum Crumble is a great summer dessert. Lightened up by using less sugar but enough to make this dish a dessert. The plum becomes a jam-like consistency as it cooks and the crumble gives it a nice crisp finish. Add ice cream or cream if desired (and if you have the extra points and calories).

Notes: This crumble can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in the air fryer for about 2-3 mins. Taste even better after a day or two, in my opinion. I sectioned the crumble in 6 to make this 6 servings which is around a heaping 1/3 cup. Try serving with Halo Top Lite Vanilla Bean Ice cream for 1 smartpoint per 1/4 cup.

To make this in an air fryer you’ll need a pan that fits in your air fryer. I have this set and used the pizza pan to make this crumble.

I use the Ninja Air Fryer for all my air fryer recipes.

Ingredients

  • 4 plums, sliced thinly
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon, divided
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 cup old fashion oats
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp cold butter
  • 1 tbsp sugar in the raw or any coarse brown sugar
  • Pinch of salt

Directions

  1. Wash and slice plums thinly. Preheat air fryer on 350 degrees for 2 minutes.
  2. Add ginger, nutmeg, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 2 tbsp water and a pinch of salt, stir.
  3. Pour plum mixture into a pan that measure around 7 and 3/4 inch (check notes above for recommendation) and air fry for about 8 minutes to soften up the plums.
  4. While plums are cooking, in a separate bowl add flour, oats, brown sugar,1/4 tsp cinnamon, chopped cold butter and use hands to crumble and form a bread crumb texture
  5. Pour bread crumb mixture evenly over plums and air fry for about 16 minutes on 350 degrees or until top is mostly golden brown. Serve with a low point/low cal ice cream like Halo Top if desired.
Crumble mixture should look like this
