Lemon Cheese Danish Cups

These Lemon Cheese Danish Cups are simple to make and only require a few ingredients. Makes a great breakfast when you want that sweet fill but want to stay within calories and points range. Serve warm with coffee or have it as a dessert. Either way its delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1 tube Pillsbury crescent rolls
  • 4 oz low fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1.5 tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp. low fat milk
  • 2 tsp lemon juice (or more to your liking)
  • zest of a lemon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pam spray

Directions

  1. Set oven to 350 degrees
  2. Spray a muffin tin pan with Pam spray and roll out crescent dough
  3. Take each crescent and fit it into muffin tin making a cup, repeat with the other 7 crescents
  4. In a small bowl, whisk or beat cream cheese and sugar well, add milk, lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract, mix well.
  5. Pour 1 tbsp of filling into each crescent cup

6. Bake for 15 minutes or until crescent cups are light brown

7. Cool for 10 minutes, serve warm.

This easy Lemon Danish Cups dessert/breakfast will fill your sweet craving while staying within your points and calories budget.

Directions
  • Step 1 Set oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Step 2 Spray muffin pan. Roll out crescent dough and fit each piece into muffin tin making a cup. Repeat with remaining dough.
  • Step 3 In a small bowl whisk cream cheese and sugar well. Add milk, lemon juice, lemon zest, vanilla extract and mix.
  • Step 4 Pour 1 tbsp. into each cup
  • Step 5 Bake for 15 minutes or until crescent cups are light brown.
  • Step 6 Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
