Air-Fryer Chicken Fries

These Air-Fryer Chicken Fries are crunchy, appetizing and addicting! They take 3-4 minutes per batch to cook in the air-fryer and comes out with the perfect crunch.

 

This Air-Fryer Chicken Fries recipe is WW friendly and kid-friendly. Makes a great snack or meal addition. My children devoured these, not a single Chicken Fry was left back! They like to have it with ketchup, honey mustard, and BBQ sauce. Personally, ketchup and hot sauce are my favorites!

Chicken: You need 1 pound of chicken cutlets or chicken breast cut into cutlets. I used 5 chicken cutlets that I cut in half then sliced them into small strips (pictured in the steps below). Pound out any thick parts of the cutlet to make even strips.

Cooking time: These Chicken Fries take about 3-4 minutes to cook. Halfway through cooking, stop and shake air-fryer tray or toss around chicken. Check at 3 minutes for doneness. May require more or less time depending on how thick the slices are cut. I recommend serving these right after cooling for 2-3 minutes.

Serving Size: I split these into 5 equal servings which come out approximately to just over 3 ounces.

 

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. thin chicken cutlets or chicken breast cut into thin cutlets
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1 small egg
  • 1 1/4 cup seasoned panko bread crumbs
  • Non-stick cooking spray

Directions

Cut chicken cutlets in half then into small strips. About 3 inches long. You may end up with some bigger or smaller pieces.
Add to a bowl
Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder and paprika.
Add one egg and mix it in the chicken strips.
Preheat air-fryer on 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Add panko crumbs into a plate.
Once air fryer is heated, spray the bottom with non-stick spray. Coated chicken strips with panko crumbs (a couple at a time) and place in the air fryer, spray the tops with non stick spray. Cook for 3-4 minutes stopping half to shake air fryer tray.
Cool for a few minutes and serve right away with your favorite sauce!

  • 1 lb. thin chicken cutlets or chicken breast cut into thin cutlets

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1 small egg
  • 1 1/4 cup seasoned panko bread crumbs
  • Non-stick cooking spray
Directions
  • Step 1 Cut chicken cutlets in half then into small strips. About 3 inches long.
  • Step 2 Place in a bowl and add salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika and egg. Mix well.
  • Step 3 Pre-heat air fryer on 400 degrees F. Add panko crumbs to a plate and coat chicken strips in batches.
  • Step 4 Spray air-fryer with non stick spray and add chicken strips, spray the tops of strips with non stick spray.
  • Step 5 Cook for 3-4 minutes stopping to shake air fryer tray or toss half way through. Repeat with remaining chicken. Cool for 2-3 minutes then serve with your favorite condiment,
