2 Ingredient Dough Rainbow Bagels

2 Ingredient Dough Rainbow Bagels

These 2 Ingredient Dough Rainbow Bagels are pretty and fun to make especially with kids. They are perfectly portioned and only 126 calories and 3 smartpoints on all three WW plans compare to over 350 calories at your local bagel shop. They go great with cream cheese, mashed avocado, jelly, eggs, deli meats…pretty much anything you would put in or on a regular bagel.

Make sure you get plain non fat Greek yogurt and not regular yogurt. Also, if you do not have self-rising flour you can make your own by using 1 cup all purpose flour, 1.5 tsp baking powder and 1/4 tsp salt. Be sure to really knead in the color into the dough for a few minutes and add sprinkles of flour to help with stickiness. Any colors can be used, I use a mixture of neon and regular colors.

This 2 Ingredient dough was invented by someone on Weight Watchers a few years ago, I don’t know who it is but if you ever come across this blog…THANK YOU!

Ingredients
  • 1 cup self rising flour + 3 tbsp ( 1 cup all purpose flour +1.5 tsp baking powder and 1/4 tsp salt)
  • 1 5.3 oz container non fat plain Greek yogurt (I used Chobani) Food Coloring of your choice
Directions
  • Step 1 In a bowl add flour. Drain excess water from yogurt and add to flour
  • Step 2 Mix flour and yogurt well to form a dough and knead for about a minute or 2
  • Step 3 Form dough into a slightly flat circle and cut into 6 pieces, add gel food coloring of your choice to each piece of dough
  • Step 4 Knead in food coloring into dough for 1- 2 minutes to color dough evenly. Adding a little flour in between to help with stickiness. Repeat with the rest of dough, washing hands in between.
  • Step 5 On a floured surface, roll out each piece of dough to about 6 inches diameter
  • Step 6 Place each rolled out dough on top of each other and roll out a little shaping into a rectangular shape with your hands as you roll. About 7 inches diameter. It doesn’t have to be exact and perfect
  • Step 7 Cut into 4 even slices, then roll and twist, sealing ends with water.
  • Step 8 Bake on 350 degrees for 17-20 minutes.
